Perplexed Emotions
Disfigured in imagination the reality rambles, A mystery hovers above as the heart goes still, The search for the destiny is all but in shambles, As the road grows dry and the lark goes shrill. The life goes forth to take ‘the road not taken’, We shudder, learn and act stout and stubborn, We labour, devout until the faith is shaken, And thence upon that moment a thought is born. Discomfited at the pounding the world has to offer, Almost hideous in a paroxysm of terror, This one thought manages to crawl and creep, ‘This is the one that changes it all’, says a voice down deep.
