Random Thoughts




Every time you fall, you got to rise, and rise above all, every time you lose you got to play again....coz it’s the player who wins and not the ones who give up. There’s this silly place we live in, the Earth....every time I try not to learn, it teaches me something different. Ego has to be swallowed and defeat to be accepted, for immortal was none. Death is what defines life. We rush for everything because we know we are all doomed to the same fate. End does not always seem near but it is a persistent fear, even a drive for some. We churn it all out because we fear for everything, even the next moment, the next morning. What if for once we began living it not for the fear of death or the fear of God but for the moment, for the mere pleasure of having been in that moment.


‘Living in the moment’ never means sacrificing long term goals. If you have got a dream, you’ve got a life. Imagine yourself standing in front of a mirror aged eighty; even if you’d have walked many a mile you’d not think of your accomplishments then, what will bring a smile on your face though, would be an act of munificence. Learn to bend, that is what all our religions and cultures teach us; be it a Chinese kowtow or an Indian Namaste. Be gentle, act humble, win races and hearts, sweat it out, win it, lose it, love it, live it – it’s your life....


Bukowski expressed it in these majestic lines....



Your life is your life

Don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.

Be on the watch.

There are ways out.

There is a light somewhere.

It may not be much light but

It beats the darkness.

Be on the watch.

The gods will offer you chances.

Know them.

Take them.

It's every person's legacy to make the world more to their liking. Now is our time.


P.S: I don’t know what I wrote and why did I write it. It visibly has a lot of errors; ignore them to feel the text. Didn’t put it on blog since I felt it wasn’t worth it, but sharing with you my friends....

I have largely refrained from writing my MBA experiences in this blog; not because they are not worth it but for the fact that everyone has a little schadenfreude inside him and I didn’t want to feed yours. Without digressing further as has been the case in all the long answers I have written, spoken or listened to since getting here, I’d rather go straight to the topic. ‘The presentation’ was meant to be ‘the’ presentation for one of the most dreadful courses of my life. She looked around to ensure no one was around; a Rs. 100 note in such a big house was something no one would ever notice. She prayed to God for all that was wrong and how it was possible without such miserable deeds but somehow things were slipping out of hands. Her inner selfishness confronting all that was good in the world. There were so many worse off people trying to make ends meet with honest methods.
